An international donor is an NRI (Indian passport holder non-resident in India) or a non-Indian passport holder. A donor with dual citizenship with India is considered an international unless the donor is resident in India over 6 years.

A National Donor is an Indian resident with an Indian passport or a non-Indian passport holder who has been staying in India for over 6 years. A Dual citizenship with India does not qualify as Indian national unless the donor is resident in India over 6 years.
