The Kannada School

The kannada school caters to the rural masses who are mostly first generation learners. The students come from more than forty five villages around the school. A fleet of buses are employed to ferry the children to and from the school. In addition, uniforms, footwear, books and bags are provided so that the poorest of the the poor children do not leave education for want of any of these material amenities. They are also given healthy and nutritious mid day meals, which is a major attraction for the hungry children.

The school has provided ample infrastructure facilities. However with each year the number of students thronging to the school has ensured that none of the facilities goes underutilized. Started with a handful of students, today over 1300 students benefit from the school with 18 teachers catering to their educational needs. The trust incurs an approximate expenditure of Rs. 10,000/- per student annually, towards providing all the above facilities.
